Jason Hawes, Steve Gonsalves and Dave Tango, the paranormal investigators responsible for igniting the ghost hunting phenomenon, are helping homeowners and businesses who are dealing with harrowing hauntings, people whose lives have been turned upside down by unexplained phenomena. To tackle this challenge, they’ve teamed up with Shari DeBenedetti and tapped into a vast network of researchers and investigators from across the country. Jason, Steve, Tango, and Shari leave no stone unturned, because they’re more determined than ever to help the living and the dead co-exist… in their ‘Ghost Nation’.
Jason Hawes has been investigating claims of paranormal activity since 1990 and is regarded as the leading authority in the field of supernatural and paranormal studies. Hawes has handled cases for law enforcement, religious organizations, and even U.S. government agencies. He formerly served as the co-creator, narrator, producer and star of the wildly popular television series “Ghost Hunters,” which ran on the Syfy Channel for 11 seasons. Hawes is a New York Times best-selling author of six books on the paranormal and is the creator and co-host of the nationally syndicated radio show “Beyond Reality Radio.” He is also the founder of the most visited paranormal website in the world, The-Atlantic-Paranormal-Society.com, and has created a network of paranormal researchers known as “The TAPS Family” that spans the globe with bases in more than 40 U.S. states and 14 countries. Steve Gonsalves, a former police officer, has been a public speaker and educator about paranormal phenomena for nearly two decades. He helped pave the way for a worldwide explosion of interest in the unexplained as a main cast member of the hit television series “Ghost Hunters,” which led to the spin-offs “Ghost Hunters Live” and “Ghost Hunters Academy.” Gonsalves started his work in paranormal studies at a very young age and is well educated in the field, having investigated over 1,000 reportedly haunted locations. He had the privilege of working closely with famed investigator and paranormal pioneer Dr. William G. Roll (Poltergeist) at the Rhine Research Center. Gonsalves executive produced the horror short film “The Captured Bird,” alongside award-winning writer and director Guillermo Del Toro. He has also been a featured guest on numerous television shows and radio programs, including “The View,” “Fox and Friends,” “Steve Harvey,” “Larry King Live” and “Katie” featuring Katie Couric. Gonsalves has also been developing and producing content for television, working on an untitled book project and has executive produced and directed a feature length documentary being released soon.
Dave Tango – who often goes by just “Tango” – is one of the world’s leading paranormal authorities, best known as an investigator and tech manager on the hit shows “Ghost Hunters” and “Ghost Hunters Academy.” Tango’s interest in the paranormal can be traced back to the stories his father (an Elizabeth, NJ police officer) told him of his unexplained encounters while on the force. Tango’s interest in the paranormal led him to becoming an amateur magician and today magic remains an integral part of what makes Tango tick. He attributes this background to his knack for problem solving, and his ability to distinguish between what is real and what’s simply an illusion. Trained by the best in the paranormal field, Tango’s ghost-hunting philosophy is always experiment in the field and never shy away from trying new techniques. What fans undoubtedly love most about him are his genuine personality and special brand of curiosity.
Shari DeBenedetti became interested in the paranormal at a very young age when she started experiencing things she just could not explain. When she was 25 years old, she believed her home was haunted. The strange phenomenon in her house became so disturbing that Shari refused to stay there alone. Shari was determined to figure out exactly what was going on and dove head first into paranormal investigation. She formed her own team and, over the years, has investigated all types of hauntings. In her search to find answers, Shari attended a paranormal event where she met Jason Hawes. The two became fast friends and Jason invited her to join the Ghost Nation. As a seasoned investigator with UPRO, Shari will oversee the monitors during investigations looking out for any type of abnormal activity for Jason, Steve, and Tango. If there’s paranormal action, Shari will be on the front lines to catch it.
